Meet John Pecina:

Stepdad. Veteran. Student Marriage and Family Therapist.

I understand how challenging it can be to keep your marriage, family, and personal well-being in balance. Especially when like feels more like survival than connection.

That’s why I work with Couples, Blended Families, Men, and Veterans to help them move from tension and uncertainty to clarity and connection.

A Little About Me

I’m a husband, stepdad, and proud grandparent to a growing family. My own blended family experience gives me a personal understanding of the joys and challenges that come with combining lives and households.

Before becoming a Student Marriage & Family Therapist, I served in the U.S. Navy. Stationed at Pearl Harbor, I learned the value of teamwork, resilience, and calm under pressure. After my service, I earned my MBS and built a career in healthcare IT. Now, I’m pursuing my Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University, focused on helping couples and families create lasting change.

Outside of my work, I find peace on the water. You can find me flyfishing or casting for bass at our neighborhood pond.
